What this publication is for, and who it is by.
The Accommodation publishes writing by neurodivergent professionals about work: getting it, keeping it, losing it, and surviving the parts in between.
Most writing about neurodivergence at work is written for managers. It explains us to people who need to be persuaded that we are worth the trouble. This is not that. This is writing by us, for us, from inside the circumstances rather than from the other side of them.
We publish essays, reported pieces, and the occasional list when a list is genuinely the right shape. We do not publish inspiration.
What we mean by neurodivergent
Broadly. Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourette's, OCD, bipolar, complex PTSD, dissociative disorders, and the rest. Self-diagnosed counts. Late-diagnosed counts. Waiting on an assessment counts.
The community
The Accommodation is one half of ndhub. The other half is a forum at community.ndhub.io, where the conversation is ongoing rather than published.
